Perfect preparation to help my son get 99% on his test...just wish it wasn't so expensive

I was very pleased with how this test prepared my son. He took the CogAT the previous year but with no preparation. He had no idea what to expect and he didn't do so well. I knew that my son can do the problems, he just needs to know what he needs to do. Once we practiced with the book, he understood how to do the problems and make sure to bubble in the answer in the right answer bubble. It just helps your child be familiar with the setup of CogAT and my son ended up with a 99 percentile on his test. I just wish it wasn't so expensive....that's why I give it 4 stars not 5. I don't understand why they have to be so costly. I also bought the Practice Test 1 for the CogAT - Form 7 - Grade 3 (Level 9): CogAT - GRADE 3... by Smart Cookie Ink at half the cost and they were just as good with the preparation. But this practice test served its purpose, so I am pleased...

Helpful for my daughters' testing

I bought same series practice book for 2nd grader last year, and that was very helpful. So this year I continued to buy this 3rd grade book. The book itself is helpful as expected. Paper folding is much more difficult than previous book. Just that some answers (figure matrices) do not have detailed explaination. That's why I removed a star. I do recommend it to anyone who will attend the test.
I also bought Practice Test 2 book which is as good as this one.

Good enough to practice for the test

We got what we needed from this book - practice. I bought two books - test 1 and test 2, but used only first one.
There are 9 sections in each book and we tore one page from each section and assembled mini test package. So instead of walking thru whole book section-by-section, we split it into 3 mini tests - and spent about an hour covering all 9 sections at once.
Results - 99th percentile rank on composite score in school test report.
