Life Reinvigorated!

I purchased this book several years ago. I started using the techniques shown in it and great. However, because I was younger and really had not started feeling the wear and tear of old age, I quit doing the exercises.

3 months ago, I started back in doing them. The first time I had not done them everyday and so I was shocked that after a month or two when my mother took my picture at a family event. I knew that I had lost weight rapidly and was feeling the best that I had in 20 years, but the picture told the whole story. I was 25 again. I could not believe how I looked. People had told me that I looked like a different person. I thought it was just because I had LOST 64 pounds, but it was more. The picture looked just like the ones that been taken of me in the 90's. I can feel it as well, I have vitality, strength, and an excitement that comes form being young. This book and its exercises are amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to be young again.

Aging well

I am still practicing the rites at 77 years and am youthful enough that the local paper did an article about me. - Doing the rites in the morning sunshine can be ecstasy.

Number one sharpened my sense of balance and has kept me from getting hurt on a number of occasions. Also, it gives something of a spiritual high. Rite number two is difficult at the beginning but I started by lifting only one leg and eventually got strong enough to lift both legs with ease. Arthritic bone spurs limit extension in my neck, so I probably will never do numbers three and five very well but perfect form is not necessary to achieve good results.

The book talks about changing the way you see yourself. For this purpose, I recommend doing the rites in front of a mirror and making videos of your self. I needed visual evidence to convince my self I was making progress. There will come a "wow!" moment when you are able to compare what you see on the video with the shuffling gaits of your contemporaries.

If you like the advice on diet in Part Three, you might want to read Supreme Vitality by Bernarr Macfadden.

The voice exercises in Part Four keep you from developing the reedy that afflicts many seniors.

If you can accept them, the ideas of Part Five on mantrams, mantras, using the super-consciousness and spoken word are even more effective than the physical rites in the first of the book . If so, you may find The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn to be helpful.

Proven results - and a word of caution

I go to the chiropractor regularly for back issues.
A few years ago I began doing the five rites (easy poses) outlined in this book.
After a few months of doing this, my chiropractor commented "I don't know what you are doing differently
but keep doing it. Your back is really getting strong and is now really well aligned."

To further support this book, a friend of mine was traveling and met a Yogi from India who advised these rites are the single
best thing you can do for your body and longevity.

Now, a word of caution if you are immune compromised or climbing out of any low energy hole. I didn't realize these rites also gently encourage detoxing. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of this and increased the rites while simultaneously engaging in other detox approaches. I was flying high on this, doing this and Health Force Nutritionals Vitamineral Green and Earth each day, along with some other approaches. People couldn't believe how much energy I had, and how clear I was spiritually and mentally. Then, it was too much detox for my body and I hit the wall - hard.

I've since been doing the rites daily along with HF, but going much slower at increasing the rites and I'm not doing any other detox along with it. Taking this approach has been fantastic.

I constantly spread the word about these five rites and would encourage anyone to give them a try.
